This lens is branded “Voigtlander”, made by Cosina Japan. It designed for the Leica M-mount rangefinder.

If you use this lens with APS-C cameras, you will get an angle of view equivalent to a 50mm lens on a 35mm (fullsize) camera.

“Voigtlander NOKTON Classic 35mm F1.4 MC” was the start point for my lens addiction.

It’s classical design really looks perfect for classical camera. Cool. I was motivated to go street with this lens.

Focus ring is smooth. With mirrorless body, focus peaking functions enables you quick shot.

Flare is unique also. In multi light situation, it makes low contrast.

Conclusion

Are these performances weak points? I think these are charm points. I love NOKTON Classic.

50mm(35mm equivalent) is fun. Its compact size is good for shooting street. Its natural working distance is good for shooting friend or family. I learned from this full manual old style lens. I always carry a 50mm lens.

50mm is my beginning, my standard and my fun.
